Terms and Conditions of Registration

Entry
Entry fee is non-refundable.  This does not affect statutory rights.  
If payment is rejected or not cleared for any whatever reason, Dublin Simon reserves the right to refuse registration and entry to the Fun Run 2010.
If at any time it is discovered that any entrant is/was ineligible to participate in the Fun Run or that participation in the Fun Run should have been refused for any reason whatsoever, Dublin Simon reserves the right to disqualify /refuse entry to such entrant.  Further, Dublin Simon reserves the right to reject at any time any online or postal registration which it believes to be fraudulent, or to disqualify any entrant it believes not to have complied with the terms and conditions from attending or participating in any future Dublin Simon event. Dublin Simon shall not be liable in any way to an entrant as a result of any such disqualification or refusal.

Race Numbers
Swapping of race numbers is strictly prohibited.  All participants must wear their assigned Race Numbers during the race. Race numbers will be available for collection on the day. 

The Event
The Dublin Simon Fun Run will take place on Saturday 9th October 2010 in the Phoenix Park at the Papal Cross. Dublin Simon Community reserves the right to change the time, date and/or venue and format of the event and to cancel the event, in whole or in part, without notice or liability to the entrant. 

Steward Instructions
Participants agree to follow instructions given by Dublin Simon stewards on the day.

Travel
Each Entrant is responsible for making their own way to the Event at their own expense.

Insurance
Dublin Simon Community does not provide any insurance, whether life or medical or liability, for any illness, accident, injury, death, loss or damage that may arise in connection with the attendance at, and/or participation in the Event by any entrant.  Entrants are advised to obtain such insurance themselves if required. 

Medical Conditions
It is strongly recommended that you train for the run and prepare for the challenge.  If you have not exercised for some time, consult your doctor for a check-up.  If you have a medical condition, please obtain advice from your doctor about whether you should participate in the Fun Run be it as a walker, jogger or runner.

Medical Treatment
Dublin Simon Community shall arrange for the availability of an appropriate number of first aid and medical personnel on the day according to the nature of the event. Each Entrant hereby authorises such medical personnel to administer first aid treatment or any medical treatment to them or to transport the entrant in the event of any illness, accident or injury suffered by them in connection with his/her participation in the Event. The entrant shall be responsible for any medical or transport expenses specifically incurred in connection with any illness, accident or injury sustained in or occurring in connection with the Entrant’s participation in and/or attendance at the Event. 

Safety
For reasons of safety, no entrants may use heelies, roller blades/skates or bikes.  No animals, dogs or horses are allowed to accompany participants in the race. 
Participants must wear suitable running or walking shoes. 

Personal Liability
Entrants agree that they understand that they enter at their own risk and that neither the organisers nor the sponsors will be held responsible for any accident suffered or injury sustained by them from any cause whatsoever or for any property lost, mislaid or stolen.

Use of Image
The entrant grants full permission to any of the foregoing to use photographs, films or recordings of this event for any legitimate purpose.  Permission is given by the entrant upon registration for the free use of their name, voice or picture in any broadcast, telecast, advertising, promotion or other account of the event.

Race Cancellation
If the race is cancelled or delayed due to unforeseen circumstances we will endeavour to stage the race at a later date.  In such circumstances we will try to let you know by email if we have email contact details for you, otherwise we will endeavour to contact you either in writing or by telephone. Our entire liability in respect of all costs and expense you may incur as a result of such cancellation or delay will be the entry price you have paid to take part in the event.

Disclaimer
I accept all the conditions of entry and acknowledge that the organisers shall not be liable for death, personal injury or loss or damage as a consequence of my participation in the Dublin Simon Fun Run 2010.
If any provision in these Terms and Conditions, whether in full or in part, is held to be invalid or unenforceable, all other remaining provisions shall continue to be valid and enforceable.
